Many people have had some things saved that may be considered “unusable” or just a nuisance in the place where they were located. There are things which are so difficult for us to get rid of that some prefer to keep them at an acquaintance’s house or to pay a storage unit to get rid of them.
And that’s okay. So, here is a list of some of the items you should definitely store for the future in a safe space:
Trophies, Medals or Awards
Many people keep displayed at home any type of award, prize, or medal as a reminder of that goal they achieved. Don’t feel ashamed for wanting to keep it, any kind of recognition is certainly something you deserve to keep as it was something you’ve earned.
Not wanting to get rid of that blouse, those pants, that sweater, or whatever is in our closet, just because it was a gift because we wore it at a special time, or because you just feel so attached to your things, it happens to many people.
You aren’t used to it but in case you have that feeling of wanting to clean your closet, there is no need to throw something away. You can donate it, give it to someone who needs it, or simply keep what is in better condition and wears it when it becomes fashionable again.
Many people are coins or bills collectors, which they will always keep and never want to sell because it’s their hobby. You can consult with professional coin dealers, like the famous Rick, who will tell you how much your collection is worth.
I can certainly assure you, if they are bills or coins with history, they will be worth thousands of dollars, or pounds, or whatever currency you might need, with Forex, trading is simpler than ever.
Video Games or Electronic Devices
We understand that this is normal, especially in people who started playing Nintendo and met Mario Bros, or that still have their first computer which weighs more than an average human being.
I know it can be hard to get rid of some things from your past, but it’s not necessary to throw them out, these types of devices are still being bought through internet pages, they don’t have much value, but at least you won’t be empty-handed.
This is classic, and many people will understand it. Who doesn’t have stored in their basement or a random room any type of furniture that is no longer used? It’s understandable, many people find it hard to get rid of something you invest money or time in, and you never know when or if you would need it again.
Many people even have any kind of chairs, tables, or family furniture stored. They don’t want to get rid of the memories and feelings that are tied to those objects. However, there is no need to throw them away! You can have them fixed, painted, or upholstered so they can be used just as new.
Another possible way to get rid of what you no longer use is by selling it, either by having a garage sale on your house, or online. Even today, there are many apps where you can make that type of sales, or you can do it through social media, so you can earn money without having to throw something away.
